They are usually prepared by the client during the briefing (also known as architectural programming in the US) phase of the design process but may also be updated during the design process to reflect evolving requirements, or to provide an improved and more precise image to those responsible for delivering the project.
The Room Data Sheets SmartTool is an efficient and accurate sheet view and schedule building utility that can be used to create room (or space) sheets of data in the Revit project. The tool can generate 3D, plans, elevations and schedule views for rooms or spaces that are named parametrically and numbered on new sheets.
The default setting is to use the Room Numbering template as well as the Sheet Format created by the Revit project however, a new sheet name and style may be selected from the Tool Options tab. You can also click ‘Load Config’ …’ on the toolbar to load previously saved configurations which will replace the current settings. This helps reduce the amount of manual rework required for different room types and sizes.
The tab ‘Naming’ lets the user to choose whether the selected room/space is included in the sheet’s Name text box that is located on the left of the screen. The ‘View Title option defines what text appears in the title bar for each view. View Increment is how many increments are there between each view on the http://www.searchstreams.info/data-stream-management-system/ sheet. The option ‘Spacing’ can be enabled to control the space between each view on the sheet and the ‘Exclude View Names in Estimating View Sizes on Sheets:’ will ensure that titles are not included in determining the number of views that will fit on a sheet.
